Last night Wool on Wolves played their final show, a free concert in downtown Edmonton. I've seen them countless time in the last few years (I can only count to 10 or so...) and brought my camera to quite a few. Here are some shots of the boys from years past, and a bunch from last night. It was a great finish and a great run.
November 28, 2010 at the Pawn Shop was my first show. I felt special because the guys gave me permission to take photos. I soon learned that it was silly to ask permission.
SOS Fest on Whyte Ave was a fantastic little festival while it lasted, Wool on Wolves played a memorable set there in 2011.
In September 2011 they were invited to play a show in Peace River, Alberta. I happened to be working up north at the time so I caught a rare out of town show. Rare for me anyway, the band went on to tour across Canada.
Open Sky Music Festival took place in Hawrelak Park in 2012 and featured a great set and great fog machine.
September 26, 2014 would be the final show, at the Alberta Culture Days kickoff party on 104th Street in downtown Edmonton. Tom got a hair cut, Brody and Kevin wore wigs, the ducks were there. Everything (except Gord) was in place for a memorable evening.
Thanks to these boys for some great tunes and for letting me shoot at them so much...
