An Incomplete Guide to Edinburgh

Some of you may have heard that Lindsay and I went to Scotland recently.  Recently, as in almost 5 months ago.  Now that the summer is over, I think its been long enough that I can start sharing the photos.

Our first stop was Edinburgh, one time home of famous Edinburghers Sean Connery, Tony Blair, and Jethro Tull frontman Ian Anderson.  Thanks Wikipedia.  That right there is about as much research as I did leading up to our trip, so forgive my trademark lack of local knowledge/outright lies about all things Scottish.  You're not really here to read what I have to say anyway, right?  Thats what I thought.

We learned that Edinburgh is an old city, really old.  And all old cities have castles.  I have proof.

Edinburgh does not look anything like Edmonton.  I have proof.

Lindsay agrees.

Actually, I don't think there are many cities in the world that look quite like Edinburgh.  So keep your chin up, Edmonton.  You're still alright.

That right there is Edinburgh, or at least all that I feel is worth sharing from it.  Up next, we meet the parents.  Yeah!  Lindsay's parents decided to join us for a little roadtrip through Scotland.  So check back for the continued Incomplete Guide to Scotland sometime within the next... 3 months or so?  No, I can do better than that.

To keep myself accountable for updating this thing, I will say that aside from many more Scotland photos to share, there are a few from Iceland, New York, Victoria, and the booming metropolis of Boswell, British Columbia (seriously much better than it sounds if you've never heard of it).  So if I haven't lost your attention already with my lack of commitment to blogging, stay tuned for that, and be sure to give me a hard time if another few months pass with no updates.

Oh, and I think this might also be a good time to mention that for the first time ever, November is Movember!  For me at least.  I'm pretending to be excited.  I look like a child.  Check out my MoSpace for proof.  While you're there, consider supporting my mustache, because its gonna get heavy.  But seriously, this isn't just an excuse to look silly!   That's just an added bonus.
